KMU Reviews Strategic Plan Progress and Finalizes 2026–27 Operational Targets.
Khyber Medical University Peshawar, held a follow-up meeting to review progress on the KMU Strategic Plan 2024–2029 and finalize third-year operational targets for 2026–27. The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Inayat Shah, Director IBMS and Convener of the KMU Strategic Plan Operationalization Committee, took place at Alexander Fleming Hall.
The session was attended by Deans, Directors, Principal Officers, Heads of Constituent Institutes, Administrative Heads, and Committee members. Participants reviewed progress against second-year targets, assessed the implementation of strategic initiatives, and finalized operational priorities for the coming year.
Prof. Dr. Jalil Khan and Prof. Dr. Khalid Khan emphasized the importance of aligning institutional activities with KMU’s strategic priorities through realistic, measurable, and outcome-oriented targets. Discussions also focused on enhancing coordination among academic and administrative units, strengthening institutional performance, and ensuring effective monitoring of strategic initiatives.
Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Inayat Shah highlighted the importance of collective commitment, evidence-based planning, and continuous monitoring to achieve the University’s strategic goals. He appreciated the contributions of all units and encouraged sustained collaboration for successful implementation of the strategic plan.
The meeting was coordinated by the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) under the leadership of Dr. Syeda Asiyah Bukhari, Director QEC, who underscored the value of regular progress reviews and collaborative planning in advancing quality assurance, accountability, and institutional excellence.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to achieving the approved operational targets and strengthening governance, academic quality, research, innovation, community engagement, and organizational effectiveness across the University.
